Deborah E. Steinberg, OD
Deborah E. Steinberg, OD has been practicing Optometry since 1988. Although she attended UCLA for 4 years as an undergraduate, she received both her B.S. degree and her Optometry degree from UC Berkeley. She also completed a residency program in Contact Lens at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She has been practicing in the Modesto area since 1990. Dr. Steinberg is known for her thoroughness and problem-solving skills, and joined Modesto Eye Center in 2016. “I love Optometry, because every patient that walks in the door brings in a different challenge with different needs. I enjoy putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, and figuring out ways to make patients see better and feel more comfortable in their daily life.”
Dr. Steinberg is married to Dr. Ross Redding, another Modesto Optometrist, and has two daughters. In her spare time Dr. Steinberg volunteers with Girl Scouts and Gold Rush Adventure Racing, and enjoys cycling, backpacking, quilting, and mountaineering. From 2008 - 2012 she summitted all 15 of the mountains in California above 14,000 feet, climbing during all four seasons: Mt. Shasta, Mt. Sill, Middle Palisade Peak, Mt. Whitney, Muir Peak, Mt Langley, North Palisade Peak, Polemoneum Peak, Mt. Williamson, Mt. Tyndall, Thunderbolt Peak, Starlight Peak, Mt. Russell, Split Mountain, and White Mountain.
